The Influence of L1 in ESL Learners’ Writing

چکیده

This paper presents a systematic review of relevant published studies on the influence L1 ESL students’ writing from year 2004 until 2021. attempts to address two research questions; i.e. what are effects caused by interference students' language and remedies overcome such errors in writing. In order do so, 15 single were chosen multiple academic platforms. These systematically reviewed findings revealed that learners' interferes with second acquisition terms causing them commit redundancy reduction errors, transfer rules, other substance errors. The rules included lexical syntactical also cleared some misconceptions overgeneralization concept falls under both categories intralingual interlingual interference. As for solution this issue, method focusing error-prone areas, application contrastive analysis pedagogy integration grammar-translation low proficiency students extracted past studies.
